Kia Ora Cambridge Baptist Family and friends from Taumarunui, I trust you and your family are doing well.
The COVID-19 virus became very real to Fiona and I yesterday when it was confirmed that some of the staff at the rest home where my mother-in-law is cared for have tested positive for the virus. As a result my mother-in-law and the rest of the patients have been confined to their rooms and aren’t allowed visitors. Because my mother-in-law has advanced dementia she has no understanding of what’s happening. My father-in law, like Fiona, is very distressed by the situation, but there is little we can do but pray. However, I was encouraged this morning by the words in Ezekiel 34:23-31, that God has sent a good Shepherd to tend his sheep.
Thank you for your words of encouragement. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Don't forget to tune in for our service at 10:00 am on Sunday. It will be something special.
May God give you his peace and his protection.
