Kia ora church family and friends,
As we head into at least 4 weeks of lock down, I am reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 4: 8 “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair”. Undoubtedly this period of time is going to be emotionally, spiritually and financially difficult for many of us. Relationships will be strained, tempers may fray and boredom will set in, but as Christians we do not need to despair for we have been born a new into a living hope. We can lay hold of the promise that God is working for our ultimate good, and in the joy of knowing Him reach out to others and be the light and love God calls us to me. As your pastor can I encourage you every morning to open God’s word and spend time with Him. Use this time as a gift to re-strengthen and invigorate your relationship with Him. Spend time praying for our leaders, our country, community, church and family. Ask for Gods peace.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or Gillian if you need help of any kind. We have plenty frozen meals and food for those in the church who find themselves in need.
May God’s peace and protection be with you all.
